Distributed 15 is a methodology facilitated by Annette Carmichael Projects that is delivered over 15 threads of activity from 2020–2023. This multi-artform, community project explores ways of distributing knowledge, action and shared responsibility for people and the natural world. In 2023, the project culminates in a large-scale performance called ‘The Stars Descend’ which is distributed across multiple sites and communities in regional Western Australia.
The bold idea to bring contemporary dance with themes of ecological change and hope to communities across the south of the State including Margaret River, Northcliffe, Porongurup, Fitzgerald Biosphere (Ravensthorpe) and Kalgoorlie needed a bold supporter with a vision for the future of our natural environment.
In July 2021, Annette was delighted to announce a key partnership with Gondwana Link for this project, linking their ambitious goal of creating 1000km of continuous native habitat across regions with Annette’s vision of a large-scale arts project championing the connection between people and the natural world.
